About

This site is dedicated to exploring the sacred aspects of life and freedom with special attention to how one can maximize their experience of both.  I believe that these topics are inherently interconnected and most meaningful in a context other than what is afforded them through the secular space.

I believe that life is more than mere biology.  Or rather, that conventional biology misses a great deal of what is truly important about life.  Through this site, I will attempt to shed some light on that topic by presenting perspectives and ideas that reflect the sacred nature of life, its meaning, and purpose.

As an extension of this, I believe that modern Institutional Science (capitalization intended) suffers from this same malady, being so caught up in itself that it can not see what it is missing.  I believe that there is a very specific reason why this is so and will comment about that in a future post.

Further, I believe that freedom is an essential component of life, so much so that a discussion of one would be incomplete without mention of the other.   As this site’s tag line says: “Both are Sacred”.

Very often, when people talk about freedom they limit their conversation to issues of “Personal Freedom”,  which are those that attempt to determine what rights an individual has, or from the other side, what are the proper limits of governmental authority.  I believe that the topic of freedom has two other equally important components as well: “Societal Freedom” and “Individual Freedom”.  I define the first of these as covering the freedoms members of society can expect to enjoy from incursions by others in their group (the so-called “social contract”) and the second as relating to the freedom (or lack thereof) an individual affords him or her self in the course of their daily life.

Personal Freedom is about what you can expect from Society.  Societal Freedom is about what Society can expect from you.  Individual Freedom is about what you expect and allow yourself to be.  Each of these topics will be discussed in greater detail through this site.

In so doing, I will share my esoteric perspectives and understanding.   I am very aware in this regard of the well-established practice  of spouting one’s particular religious ideology or dogma as “Truth” and want to assure my readers that I will not knowingly go down that path.  Rather, I will endeavor to transcend the realm of Religion and speak instead from the spiritual perspective, from the place where “All is One”.   In doing so, I realize that what I say may seem contrary to some of your particular tenants or beliefs.   I invite you to set aside these preconceptions and consider my words afresh.  By so doing, you may surprised to find value in places you would not have otherwise gone.

I wish you all the Highest and Best,

Brother Richard
